Can this machine also be used as a vacuum cleaner?

PowerDash is designed to make carpet cleaning/washing easier and faster and is not intended for use as a vacuum. We recommend vacuuming before using PowerDash on a carpet

How easy is it to clean?

PowerDash is easy to clean. It has a removable nozzle that allows easy access to the brush roll so you can remove any dirt or debris residue from the cleaner. The Dirty Water Tank also has a fully removable lid for convenient cleanup
