- Root Kill has been known to be an effective means to control roots in residential sewers. - Usually, within 3 to 4 weeks, after roots have accumulated sufficient copper sulfate, the roots will die and begin to decay and water flow should increase. - Do not apply Root Kill through sink or tub drains as it will corrode metal drains. - Will temporarily reduce bacterial action, but it will return to normal approximately 15 days after treatment. - Make no more than 2 applications per year.
