How to use the Silver Maintenance Solution

Much more than an ordinary silver polish, the Silver Maintenance Solution contains a small concentration of pure silver to refresh and restore tarnished, lightly worn silverware.

The Maintenance Solution not only removes tarnish from silver-plated articles; it plates a light sprinkling of pure silver to areas of slight wear, to keep your silver-plated items gleaming and clean.

Perfect for items where the silver-plate has slightly worn away so the base metal Brass, Copper, Bronze or unpassivated Nickel is showing. Any plating only works in direct contact with these base metals - It doesn't work on other metals such as Lead and aluminium. Please remove any lacquer for direct contact.

The plating is permanent and anti-tarnish agents in the solution, help to reduce future tarnish and maintain a long lasting shine. Revive old or tired silver-plated treasures and give much loved silver-plated items a new lease of life.

Common problems are:-

Works on direct contact with worn Silver where the base metal Copper, Brass, Bronze or unpassivated Nickel is showing. Please remove any lacquer first.

1. Wear gloves and cover surfaces - pure silver turns black on contact with skin, this is NOT harmful but isn't a good look!

2. Shake the bottle before use

3. Apply with a clean soft cloth or cotton wool to the area to be cleaned or plated and rub firmly for 15 to 20 seconds

4. Polish gently with a clean, dry cloth for an immediate shine
